We are trying to get this seen by as many people as possible. The callous disrespect and attempts to intimidate constituents out of being heard is galling and appalling, and we won't stand for it.

Today I went back to the library where everything went down to take a thank you gift to the staff who protected our constitutional rights. They told me these aides called their DC office, who then called the library telling them to "get rid of them [us]."

Library staff refused to call the police and feed into Messmer's inevitable argument that the crowd (a baker's dozen) was hostile. They assured the rep's staffers and us repeatedly that we were legally exercising our first amendment rights. LIBRARIANS ARE SAVING DEMOCRACY! ❤️

They claimed they were threatened by the crowd, which at 1 pm on a Tuesday was predominantly senior citizens. And there was one lady there with a disabled child.
