Not an actual street but if I was, I'd be a people friendly street. Miserable bugger irl. Fish guts free cask beer in gorgeous pubs. Utility cycling, Oxford, London, reformed quizzer, bad jokes, constantly profiled as Camra member in said gorgeous pubs.

Looks like there's competition for Elwoods at Borough Market.
The picture shows a corner stall at London's Borough Market. It is early and there are few people around but the stall is open selling meaty sandwiches. A large drawing of a sheepdog is on a board at the front of the stall.

Wanted to take a picture of the beautiful Grey St, Newcastle, and made it even better by persuading these fine people of the @leagueacs.bsky.social to take part. Take part yourself by pledging to complete the promised gov consultation to end hunting with dogs for good.

On the pavement on Cowley Road, walking towards Leopold St, three drivers have stored their vehicles on the newly refurbished pavement and tactile paving. A further car can just be seen parked on the traffic light zigzags.

I think Oxford's Underground Catherdral entrance has had a makeover.
From St Giles Oxford, a view looking downstairs, below street level, to a red door. This location used to house toilets. Ornate railings surround the staircase down to a black and white tiled entrance landing. There are plants tastefully arranged on the walls.

This driver yesterday evening knew not to park on the pavement, or indeed in the parking bay.
A passenger coach is parked on the highway alongside but not in a loading/parking bay causing traffic hold ups and risk. The driver is waiting for his passengers to finish a succulent Chinese meal. Oxford's cinema goers may well have predicted the opposite of the Academy's Best Picture Oscar votes
A large chart in a cinema foyer offering cinemagoers the option to place a vote for their preferred film to win the Best Picture Oscar in 2025. Wicked and Dune 2 are leading by a mile, whilst likely winners, all the other better films, have hardly attracted any votes.

No school run, no problem. 8am, the Plain, Oxford, today.

I've just seen @dralisonhill.bsky.social post of the same and it does look like there is a dropped kerb there now.

A driver has left his vehicle parked over a junction, on double yellows, over the footway, and over the tactile paving. Cowley Road, Oxford, today, 8pm. No enforcement was seen, as usual.

Good to see businesses opening on St Clements. There's a new coffee bar and a new Syrian takeaway just opened on the Caroline St corner too.
