Productivity != number of hours worked. Besides, a very high deductible from gross income lowers the incentive to work . Moreso, after having kids. Taxes and deductions make more work less appealing.

The area of Paris is 5.5 sq km in size. Enforcement remains very low there too. The size isn’t the dame. Meanwhile, a monthly public transport ticket cost 101€ per month with subscription and 89€ per month in Paris without subscription. Expect ticket prices to rise further next year.

2nd order effects are rarely understood in Germany. I think one can write an entire book on the amount of times you will see this happen.

Sure but that would make Bluesky cease to exist. The dissident voices are silenced by governments. It’s an unreasonable expectation for Bluesky to fulfil a gap which no other government or international organisation has. They are still different given the legal limitations (for now).

Entities have to function within the law of the countries they operate in. Any other expectation is utopian and largely a futile exercise.
