“Squirrel with a Pearl Earring” by Kelly Lyles, a Seattle artist. She’s done a series of these and they’re hilarious. This one seems like it has a jauntier air than some of the others. Just got it today, supporting local art is awesome.

Went to the Greenlake Luminata parade and event put on by FAC. It was a good year for it although the parade was very slow, saw a bunch of old friends. I guess it is Fall now.

A Danbo Troll with the Burning Man effigy in the background. Both the troll and the Man Base were really great this year.

Rarely down here on a clear night, so two shots of the wheel at sunset, one with Rainier in the distance. Was down watching the torchlight parade, actually works on the waterfront but the traffic is even worse than downtown.

Went over to Vashon Island today for the spring studio tour, had a great time going around to galleries and studios with a friend. Took the ferry over and I am happy to report that things are still incredibly scenic hereabouts. A lot of Vashon art has ferries, orcas, and Mt Rainier as themes.
