The consequences are clear. The digital omnibus reads as a Big Tech wishlist:

❌ AI companies will be able to train their systems with personal data without people's consent

🧐In so-called Reality Checks, secretive meetings exempted from transparency rules, the Commission has almost exclusively gathered input from industry.

Hans van Scharen, campainger at CEO, adds "while NGOs have always been fully committed to being transparent and have also been campaigning for decades to get a more transparent EU decision making process, the far-right and EPP are closely working together and blocking more transparency".

"The new scrutiny working group (SWG) on NGOs in the European parliament as set up by the far-right & EPP should be boycotted by the other political groups. This SWG is nothing more than a political translation of the smear campaign against civil society by the far-right", says CEO's Hans van Scharen

⚠️ The same #BigAg corporations that are complicit in destroying places like the Amazon are attending and influencing the climate talks in Brazil.

Something smells like B.S…. and it’s not just the methane coming from JBS’ cows.
