the premise is interesting, the music is pretty good and i like the character designs but the gameplay is not that great and this barely feels like Fire Emblem. I don't see myself playing long term but I want to give Shadows a chance and hope it grows on me.

I think FW and Engage's development overlapped at some point. IS usually works on two games at a given time, given the average 2-3 year release schedule, if i had to guess i think FW was to come out after 3H (it couldve even been mostly done) but FE anniversary was in 2020 so it had to get pushed

I hope this won't end up happening but i really don't want 3H to cast this shadow over the series where every game ends up being some variation of it or has to be compared to it
