Ah yes if only the Tory gov had chosen the model advocated by the fascist tapeworm (crash out” only way to leave the EU”) then we’d be looking at ~8% GDP damage (Tory gov’s DexEU depts own figures).

Brilliant that @zackpolanski.bsky.social has raised the disaster for Britain of ending freedom of movement. I hope there will be a Green Party campaign alongside this to explain the rights and restrictions that go with FOM which British govs did not implement & the Brexiters deliberately lied about.

Someone should tell the Torygraph that the nebulous, sunlit uplands, exact-same-benefits Brexit that they championed was only voted for by just over a third of voters in the first place (37%). And they are now disproportionately dead.

Whilst I welcome Reeves finally naming the #Brexit damage to the economy, I don’t see how it is “worse than expected”. This 👇is the Tory gov’s own Dex EU department’s estimations. Despite this they went ahead with Brexit & the fascist tapeworm called for crash out with no deal.

That is a great article - not sure why it looks like this though?

Full list of those who voted against it - without a SINGLE protective amendment (as they all failed).
