Running #1 out of their own gym the game after putting up a Ton-30 is a hard argument to beat.

The way some of these suburban tract designs are going…

First the house size thing, now this. It’s like… Wisconsin was a whole other world.

Looks perfectly cromulent to me.

Hell, my house now in suburban Iowa is five bedrooms (in about 3600sqft, ~335m^2 for you Euros) and I don’t consider it a mansion. And wouldn’t have in comparison to the houses in my hometown of ~700 people.

Yeah, the “standard” Four Square farmhouse of northwest Iowa was two-story, four bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, kitchen, lav, dining, living, and sitting rooms downstairs. With either a livable attic finished or the sitting room converted to a bedroom when the family got big enough.

Which products currently grown here are you willing to reduce production of to get the land to grow these things?

If you’re ever in central Iowa I’d be happy to take you to the last of the original Maid-Rite drive ups in Marshalltown.
November 7, 2025 at 1:35 AM
Whoa now. Do not be conflating taverns and maid-rites. While they might both be loose meat sandwiches they are distinct in composition, flavor, and geographic availability.

There was nothing better for motivating me back to school than an August spent baling hay.

Gravel road trick or treating is apparently too hard core for the kids these days. But if any ever do show up I hope you’d have full size candy bars for them and not the fun size crap.

Missing a banger wedding reception.

I’m honestly wondering if Comey and his team aren’t itching for a fight here, though.

Why would Halligan have any legitimate involvement in this case? How is there any nexus between EDVA and New York?

Nothing sad about a golden field in the fall. To a farmer that’s the color of money.

I don’t know that you’d really want edamame from a commodity yellow soybean variety. I’ve never actually asked/researched/learned but I assume it’s similar to how sweet corn and dent field corn are two entirely distinct strains.
October 4, 2025 at 9:57 PM
Too late from that field.
October 4, 2025 at 7:37 PM
What do you mean “dead”?
October 4, 2025 at 7:20 PM
Normal color for commodity soy beans.
October 4, 2025 at 7:18 PM
Most soybeans in the US go for animal feed. So does a large proportion of what we export (even with China, they prefer to use their domestic production for human food use).

That second paragraph buys into the ICE narrative too easy. The rest is pretty well workshopped for the path Sand’s been trying to walk.
September 28, 2025 at 9:08 PM
Can we assume, then, that since yesterday someone pulled the I-9 out of his file to recheck and confirm?
September 27, 2025 at 11:09 PM
True. But to get that you’d need to provide a birth or naturalization certificate, no?
September 27, 2025 at 8:15 AM
You’re doing good and worthy work, Laura. Keep it up!
September 27, 2025 at 1:51 AM
DMPS can’t, due to identity protection laws. ICE could, especially if they’re claiming it was false, as at that point it’s evidence of fraud and not covered by identity protection laws.
