Track down a pro-bono disability law firm right away, if you haven't already, and tell them this. They will not be able to take you on as a client until you formally apply and get denied, but they will point you in the right direction.

Seeing this a lot from my contemporaries, and some of it comes from us actually giving a shit about our well being. I hit 39 this year, and outside of a few issues-in-progress, I feel every bit as capable as I did 15 years back.

So many people are driven by a desperation for all this bullshit to be "over" that they throw their whole selves onto the first person that loudly says "Hey I can fix it", no matter who they are.
