You seem pretty dismayed and offended by my comments, which you are campaigning against while possessing an equal ability to leave it alone and scroll on. Like... you see how dumb that position is, yes?

If you think me asking the original author to be more mindful with his word choice is the same as "jumping with indignation," you probably shouldn't take part in serious conversations.

It describes her as an adult in the second word of the tweet, before it ever mentions her age at the time she was assaulted.
November 14, 2025 at 4:08 PM
honestly i'm sorry for the long reply chain. I'm not saying you're a bad person or did anything on purpose. When I ask you to take more care to always describe the victim as the child she was, instead of as the adult she is, I'm not like... implicating you.

And if you think all of this is an indication that I'm illiterate, then, ok you do you I guess.
November 14, 2025 at 2:21 AM
when abusers frequently try to cast their young victims as being older and more worldly than they are, the least we can do is not let them off the hook by describing their victims in adult terms.
November 14, 2025 at 2:21 AM
With all that in mind, all I'm asking is that you be more careful to always frame situations like this as "child raped by adult(s)," instead of "she's a grown up now, and here's what happened." That she's grown up NOW, years later, is irrelevant to what happened at the time.
November 14, 2025 at 2:21 AM
I disagree strongly that word choice here is irrelevant. We are talking about adults having sex with kids. These adults frequently use "she might be young but she acted like an adult!" as their justification/excuse for their behavior. "She isn't actually THAT young" is a common refrain.
November 14, 2025 at 2:21 AM
In other words: the headline can focus on how she's an adult now, or it can focus on how she was a kid then. Choosing the "adult now" framing is just that, a choice.
November 14, 2025 at 2:01 AM
Then it should say "the now-woman" or similar. As written, the headline softens the facts. Period.
November 14, 2025 at 2:00 AM
please don't refer to her as a woman when what you really mean to say is that she was a CHILD. "The CHILD whom the Ethics Committee determined Matt Gaetz paid for sex when she was 17...."

an iPod or similar?

Is she wearing a wig? Serious question.

Megyn also interviewed two of Josh's victims, his sisters Jessa and Jill. Years later Jill wrote a book about it and said that Megyn had Josh sitting in a chair just off camera so that she and her sister had to look at him the whole time they were being interviewed about how he abused them.
November 13, 2025 at 2:45 AM
(and of course many years later Josh was caught with child pornography and now he's serving 12+ years in prison while his wife raises their seven children by herself.)
November 13, 2025 at 2:40 AM
Megyn just sat there and nodded at them, praised them for using their faith to get through tough times, and blamed the media for sensationalizing a good family's pain. "He was just a curious teen" they said, and she didn't push back at all.
November 13, 2025 at 2:36 AM
Megyn interviewed Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, the parents from 19 Kids and Counting, when it came out that their oldest son had molested four of his sisters over a period of years. The youngest was 4 and he was in his teens. JB&M said it was nbd, just something that happens "in their community."

"Nordic pagan"

wasn't it his asshole friend, Kash Patel, who said "see you in Valhalla" at an FBI press conference about Charlie Kirk?
