[2/2] we’ve home-brewed that system for Droughtland so the casting times are faster and a little less expensive.
Once you’ve spent all your Essence, you’re fully drained & that becomes part of the role-play until you’re recovered.
Some casters can also drain Essence from enemies to replenish.
