So the before times have cycled back around. My age group (early millennials) were the peak of tolerance and enlightenment. Then it went downhill.

What middle aged and older people don't realize is the under 25 crowd is currently back at square one. Many of them are being shamed back into the closet, beaten by mobs, rejected and abused by parents. It's the 50s all over again for them.

Maybe they could also deploy within the UK to deal with the massive hate violence that LGBTQ people now face there every day. The UK is now one of the most anti-LGBTQ countries in the world and travel advisories should be issued. The weak gov won't protect the vulnerable.

Hate crimes on the basis of sexual orientation are still on the rise across Europe. It will be interesting to see if having openly gay leaders will have any effect on that.

Social media is too wild, chaotic and unregulated for young developing minds to understand. Maybe 20 years ago in the Myspace days it wasn't so bad but it has become something very different these days.

I don't understand Iowa. In the early 2000s they seemed to be a champion for progress and LGBTQ rights in the Midwest, then went deep red.
