Immigrants often tell their children what a great opportunity America public schools are...and they excel...because they are getting the most out of the opportunity.

Here's the real problem, if you tell a child that public education is garbage and then you stick them in it for 15 years, 180 days a year, 6 hours a day, you are telling the child that 16000 hours of their like is a waste of time.

Public education is maligned but as someone who has worked in both private and public, you'd be surprised how little difference in quality there can be.

The true quality difference always comes down to class size.
