i think influence in art isn’t always conscious and ideas can seep through culture in to your overall taste and perspective unknowingly but also motherfuckers steal and don’t credit because they want to be geniuses who’s ideas just hatched out of their special, unique ether that rarely exists so 🤷♂️
I feel like theres a similar thing with Paprika where Christopher Nolan straight up copied a scene in Inception and then told people "I've never even seen Paprika."
