Artwork I painted for the first two novels in the trilogy, “Immortal Longings” and “Vilest Things” by Chloe Gong, respectively.
Looking down on a cluttered urban alley for a city reminiscent of Kowloon, often described as "The walled city". Red lights hang from strings haphazardly across the alleyway, while the majority of the alley is bathed in green fluorescent light. Princess Calla looks up at us defiantly at the top of a subway staircase wearing a leather jacket, jeans and leather boots. She is in the middle of unsheathing her sword. We look up from the bottom of a staircase to an ornate thrown room, adorned with intricate metal statues and pillars of dragons inspired by ancient Chinese art and sculptures. At the top of the staircase is an ornately carved throne. Much of the room is lit from below by red and gold lighting, while a gigantic futuristic circular fluorescent light hangs overhead, emitting a cool sterile light. Princess Calla is standing partway up the staircase and is partially turned back to look at us. this is really annoying man my tablet was purchased new in 2019. I spent 2000 dollars on It and it works perfectly fine. Why should anyone buy an expensive tech product that's going to brick in 6 years

geez idk im sure this is how the paradox source felt about Bloodlines 2 but in same topic the vtmb1 patch dev claims a producer told him Paradox grew unhappy with the agreed upon open rpg approach and suddenly wanted a voiced protag linear action game, which is what chinese room delivered.

I took that to mean the story was set, the game was mostly playable, and technical issues were still being worked on.
