You can test it by changing the flow of the air from floor, to chest, to defrost. Or from changing it from hot to cool to see if it stops or quiets the noise, if so then it could be a higher possibility it's that.

It could possibly be a blend door actuator, I'm unsure as to where it's located specifically, but it could be stuck or the gears may be worn and preventing it from opening or closing.

I would like to convert it down the road, but the mileage still has me on the rocks. I'm going to see it in person and test drive it to see if I need to keep looking or it's the one.

I finally saw one in person and I swear it's not a design I would expect consumers to flock to like they have been. Military use, yes, but not as a daily driver, it just doesn't look practical at all. And from the honest videos I have seen it truly isn't.

Eh I mean I see similarities, but I wouldn't say a direct copy. Course so, with automotive design you can only reinvent the wheel so many times. They should have stuck with classic brand identity instead of trying to act like this stand out unique brand.
