I have studied various esoteric schools and found that my practice doesn't fit in any of them. I don't pray to gods, invoke spirits, or call guardians. I find the stars are meaningful, but not horoscopes. So I am just a wizard, studying and walking his own path.

I came across an interesting plant idea, that psychedelics were ways for plants and fungi to keep animals around to help nourish them, or provide other ecological benefits.

It is often said that Fortuna favors the bold, but what if this is merely survivorship bias?

I've been experimenting with different methods of blueberry syrup. It smells delicious.

That's worse than one we give ourselves

Whenever you feel alone in life... just remember that Abraham Lincoln suffered bouts of depression and tortured his friends with his angsty poetry.

Lately, I've been learning to map multidimensional ley currents among other things. Perhaps I'll share some pictures when I'm done... of both the ley currents and the other things :)

Went out to commune with nature. Pretty sure I found evidence of the Easter Bunny deep in the woods

Lately, I've been studying Systems Theory when applied to Sociology, and I came across the Iceberg model. TLDR, our mental models, those closely held assumptions and beliefs, are the root of everything.

I made a large batch of grounded orange peels. I tried mortar & pestal at first but that was taking too long for the amount I had so I got a coffee grinder and it made quick work.

Another book from my youth that led me towards being a #wizard

Interesting talk on our perception of reality

Points
- Experience is a response of the world, not a description
- Truth is a function of the model, not reality.

Carl Jung once said, "Man cannot stand a meaningless life". He was wrong. I am presently living such a life and I can stand it just fine. In fact, looking back with the benefit of old age, I accept that the majority of my life has been meaningless.

He was right.

"Every age thinks that all ages before it were prejudiced. Today we think this more than ever and are just as wrong as all previous ages that thought so. How often have we not seen the truth condemned! It's sad but unfortunately true that man learns nothing from history."
