Back at City Hall after a 12-day break. 2025 promises to be eventful as there are many changes ahead. It was nice to have peaceful time to reflect, refresh and prepare for the year ahead. I am grateful for friends, family and colleagues. Hope to see you all engaged and ready to improving SGF!

As always with Give 5, I got to meet the most amazing people, both in the class and at the St. Louis nonprofits serving those in need that we visited. I enjoyed hearing about the work of Wash U’s Gephardt Center for Civic Engagement and from the provost’s office about St. Louis initiatives.
Being on a college campus is so uplifting. I had the opportunity to do some pro bono consulting work on my day off Wednesday at Wash U Greg Burris and hosted a one-day Give 5 class for retired Wash U professors and administrators with Wash U SORPA and the Freedman Center for Aging.

One of my favorite aspects of Bluesky is that is allows users control over their feeds, steering clear of the toxic algorithms that fuel polarization—exactly why people are fleeing X. #FightDisnformation
Over the past week, the social media site Bluesky's growth has exploded, more than doubling to 15 million-plus users, as people seek alternatives to X, Facebook and Threads.
