The Democratic ask had to be small enough to get Republicans to agree to it -- they don't want a prolonged shutdown.

It's not "the government is evil", it's "other groups having power is evil".
Obviously a hard sell when trying to form a coalition... but the goal is not to form a coalition. It's to lead an identity politics focused group to glory with other coalition members forced to follow.

The standard method is to establish a public health care model standard that private insurance providers conform to.

It is depressing to find out that the "online left" does not care about Democratic politicians doing the exact same thing, with them ignoring and downplaying other candidates in the race attending the same protests and also being attacked by federal law enforcement.

People believe that politicians can force the media to cover stories as scandals, so therefore it is the fault of the Democrats that is it not being covered that way.
