I like aliens n shit.
I'm trying to buy on TIXR... I get "an unexpected error occurred" up top (see screenshot) and it loads a login/signup box. I don't have an account, so I just typed in my email and made up a password, and it says invalid. However, there is no other link to a SIGN UP page beyond whats below. Help!

I'm confused...

Are they for sale on cashortrade? It doesn't let me select any Colorado show - instead of "buy tickets" it says "set alerts" for all the CO shows.

Also, I see nowhere to enter a presale password?

HELP! Trying to cop 2 tickets to 8/22 Dillon Amphitheater!

And it seemed much of the discussion around Doom TDA winning GRAPHOTY centered around performance in general and day 1 performance. And for me that raised the bigger question of how much performance should factor into GRAPHOTY.

I agree atrocious perf should disqualify a game, beyond that not sure.

It's definitely gorgeous and one of the best looking games of 2025 for sure. There weren't many games last year that look significantly better. The enemy count bit is a fair point too.

But for me, even something like MafiaTOC looks a bit more impressive visually.

For me: DS2 > MTOC > ACS > DOOM

And I understand graphics are more than just RT. It's the whole package.

That said, the texture work and model quality isn't all that impressive either. I feel like DOOM won graphics of the year moreso because it was extremely performant.

Not sure how much performance should factor into GRAPHOTY

2/2

Plenty of games with traditional lighting solutions impress far more than Doom TDA (DS2, hell even going back a decade to stuff like The Order 1886) despite using lightmaps/probes.

I was more impressed with the RT on something like AC Shadows by a wide margin than I was with the RT on Doom.

Very sad. And seemingly out of the blue.

It's times like these I try to remind myself to be thankful she was here at all! Remember - if it hurts, it's only cause she was that good. We were that lucky.

RIP Catherine O'Hara - thanks for all the awesome memories!

Totally get that.

Was hesitant to even mention it because I was pretty damn sure you were already kind of tracking that. No shade. Stoked for the future of DF/DF Retro, you guys truly are a cut above your peers!

Anywho, back to DF Direct and pretending to work...

And maybe let Corey & Try speak a bit more.

It's a brand new show, still finding it's footing, so I just wanted to offer some constructive feedback. Love the output, love the quality of the work.

And like I said, y'all have some of the most interesting opinions and takes in all of gaming media!

Awesome, thanks fellas!

One suggestion for ya. Can you focus on fewer games & spend more time discussing them at length?

It's starting to feel a bit too much like "John reads lists of games." You three have awesome takes and I'd appreciate it if you really explored those more.

Keep it up👍
