We shouldn't have to trade our safety for a hypothetical use of LPR data.

That's why we need strict safeguards on the use and access of LPR data so they can only be used for specific uses, which should NOT include targeting nonviolent undocumented immigrants. But at the same time, our residents also deserve safe neighborhoods and actual criminals like this to be caught.

Lining = liking

We still have too many vehicle break ins and stolen cars for my lining in Antioch and across town. Crime is trending down which is a good thing, but we can still do better.

One can support using additional crimefighting tools while still maintaining everyone's civil rights (including the undocumented). The two don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Stolen cars and other crimes continue to be an issue here. This is a helpful tool to significantly reduce this problem.

Doesn't track you any more than the device in your hand right now does. Or every credit card transaction you make; or every store, restaurant or other public place you enter...

Why can't we Democrats be tougher on crime for a change? That isn't just a Republican thing.

We should have had LPRs years ago with our safeguards in place. They're doing wonders in Mount Juliet.
