that how much it costs in comparison to the amount of electricity we produce is literally nothing
plus, future breakthroughs will only make the technology cheaper
fossil fuel lobbyists and nuclear fearmongerers (such as yourself) are the reason why it's so expensive and has stagnated
April 21, 2025 at 10:21 AM
not to mention that the more clean energy, such as nuclear, we have, the more the carbon emissions of our planet will reduce
therefore, cooling down the planet and getting rid of those heat waves :3

solar panels need batteries, which require rare earth mining, which pollutes the planet

can I get a source?

cus to the irrational fear of nuclear that many people, notably politicians and lawmakers have
April 21, 2025 at 10:01 AM
Solar and wind are excellent, but they're just not good enough to justify completely swapping over to such comparatively inefficient forms of power.

Nuclear is also expensive to build, sure, but solar is expensive to maintain, so is wind. Nuclear pays for itself, solar and wind does not.
April 21, 2025 at 6:25 AM
-construction and maintenance of solar and wind arrays. Maintenance is also a big thing, as solar and wind both require heavy maintenance in order to work, and will naturally slowly lose efficiency. Not an issue with nuclear, and maintenance is way more manageable.
April 21, 2025 at 6:25 AM
The worst part about solar and wind are the area-to-power ratio, you'd need to carve out an area the size of the Sahara desert in order to produce enough power to offset carbon levels, it's inefficient
Not to mention the amount of wild animals that would lose their natural habitats due to the-
April 21, 2025 at 6:25 AM
Solar, wind, and water are not universally applicable to every part of the world, there are parts of the world that have low sunlight, or low wind speeds, or frozen or droughted rivers
Nuclear can be built anywhere, and if we research more into better technology, it'll get cheaper and cheaper

I beg you to watch this video, and understand that nuclear power is not a boogey-man, and that the real boogey-men are the coal and oil lobbies that are actively polluting the air and stopping research into renewables for nothing but extra profits

Also, scientists are actively looking for and successfully finding ways to repurpose nuclear waste
April 21, 2025 at 5:53 AM
Nuclear waste isn't just produced by nuclear power, it's also produced by rare-earth mining and the repurposing and production of nuclear weapons
Also by research into applications of radioactive materials and medicine
Should we get rid of all x-ray machines and lithium-ion batteries?
April 21, 2025 at 5:51 AM
Millions? The WHO estimates that the long term death toll of the accidents was less than 4000, I don't know where you got millions from
And the immediate deaths were less than 40
And let's keep in mind, the worst accident, chernobyl, was caused by operator error
April 21, 2025 at 5:46 AM
The expensive part about nuclear is the building of power plants, which is due to lack of funding into research
It's extremely sustainable, most likely the most efficient form of power we currently have
And the amount of waste produced by nuclear is so miniscule that it's not a problem at all
