The attack on Charlie Kirk is appalling and unacceptable. Political violence has no place in a free society. No one should have to experience nor witness such trauma.

My thoughts are with Charlie and his family.

24 years ago, nearly 3,000 lives were claimed during the unconscionable attacks of 9/11.

California will forever hold the memory of those lost in our hearts, as well as the service members who dedicated their lives to protecting our freedoms and way of life.

NEW: Thanks to an agreement with California, the City of Artesia is now required to quickly build 1,000+ homes for moderate and low-income Californians on an expedited timeline.

Affordable housing is something leaders at all levels of government must pitch in toward.

An appeals court reaffirmed that Huntington Beach officials are violating state housing law and must create a new plan for affordable homes.

Instead of wasting tax dollars on unlawful NIMBY policies, Huntington Beach should use these funds to help build more homes in the city.

Programs like Improve Your Tomorrow — working to boost college attendance for young men of color — lost over $10M this year.
