We had a rolling toolbox on the side of our house. Early one morning, it was stolen. There was fresh snow on the ground, and we following the literal trail around the corner to the alley behind our house, where it stopped at our neighbor’s gate. The cops said “we can’t really know where it is”

Something like “you’re here!”. Then they wanted to know where Facebook, Apple, etc were and if they could visit. We directed them to the Apple campus that has that visitor spot, but told them they’d have to uber.

When I lived walking distance to “downtown” Sunnyvale, I was walking home and two people, clearly on vacation, stopped me and asked how to get to Silicon Valley.
