I can definitely take a joke, but I’m also of the belief of not sacrificing the people I love for the sake of a joke like that. I don’t want people around me to fear that their every move will be used against them in the name of “roasting”. A joke ain’t never that serious.

The thing about Church Girl is that you ✨had✨ to grow up a southern girl raised in a southern church to understand it. You had to grow up with prayer cloths and wooden pews and hymn books to truly understand what was being communicated. If you didn’t, you won’t ever fully appreciate the song. Ever.
