December Top 3

1) Pluribus
2) Hades 2
3) Octopath Traveler 0

Good month. Extremely rare for a game to not take the top spot for me lol, but Pluribus is the best thing I've seen in a while. Hades 2 and Octopath 0 have some problems but they're great too. Good way to end the year

110) Pokemon Legends Z-A: Mega Dimension - this was bad! The $30 asking price is absurd, it's almost entirely reused (already mediocre) content with a largely uninteresting story and absurd amounts of grinding required. The post game grind is atrocious. First dex im not finishing in a longgg time

109) Pluribus (Season 1) - peak television. Best new show I've seen in a while. Great premise, great acting, really interesting stuff. A lot more slow paced than I expected but its pretty much all fantastic character study
December 30, 2025 at 5:27 PM
108) Octopath Traveler 0 - this was surprisingly great. Has some weaker arcs and takes a bit to really get going but by the end the story is pretty grand and interesting. Combat is amazing and soundtrack is great, though unfortunately mostly resued stuff. Shocked the OG gacha hid so much potential

107) 28 Years Later - huge improvement over the second movie. Gorgeous, tense, very interesting ideas at play here. Last scene is a bit of whiplash but im ultimately excited to see where it goes in the next one. Strong contender for best in the series, but id still give the edge to the og for now
December 22, 2025 at 7:54 PM
106) South Park (Season 28) - yeah, this just kinda fell off a cliff by the end. Less funny, less interesting, lack of new material, struggles to pull together all the loose threads... episode 1 was fun but I dont think I'll be back for season 29
December 22, 2025 at 7:52 PM
105) 28 Weeks Later - found it a little hard to suspend my disbelief for this one, and it's a slow burn for the first half. Largely less visually interesting too. Decently fun but not particularly great, I can see why it put the series on ice for 20 years
December 12, 2025 at 12:25 AM
104) Metroid Prime 4: Beyond - Most disappointing game I've ever played. Gorgeous art direction and a mostly immaculate if front-loaded soundtrack can't make up for terrible level design and atrocious writing, pacing and structure. There are no real puzzles and combat is super basic. Worst Metroid.

103) 28 days later - Great cinematography and premise. Ending is a little weird and hasn't aged the best but it's an interesting approach to a zombie movie and clearly super influential. Im glad I watched it, I'll watch the sequels but im hesitant after that ending. Would still recommend it though.

102) The Chair Company (Season 1) - fascinating show. Starts very strong and ends very... interestingly? Meanders a bit in the middle but it was both funny and gripping throughout. Fits Tim Robinson's style better than sketch comedy imo, hope he keeps going with stuff like this and Friendship
December 8, 2025 at 9:21 PM
101) Hades 2 - solid improvement over the first. Has a lot of the same structural problems, I feel like i kind of broke the game by being too good and winning before the story could finish, but the presentation and core gameplay loop are excellent and better balanced here. Definitely recommend it.

November Top 3

1) Kirby Air Riders
2) Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake
3) Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment

Switch 2 finally got more good games! Very pleasantly surprised by both Air Riders and Age of Imprisonment. Hopefully Prime 4 isn't as mid as I fear it may be!

100) Kirby Air Riders - never played the first one so wasnt sure what to expect but I ended up 100%ing the checklist. This is probably my favorite multi-player game since Smash Ultimate. Simple but deep, super fast, super satisfying. Really refined. I even liked the campaign. Very few complaints.
December 2, 2025 at 9:30 PM
99) K-Pop Demon Hunters - Finally got around to watching this. Solid kids film. Great animation, pretty generic story and lackluster humor but nothing too distracting. The music is catchy and very well produced. Its not my favorite but I get the fad, better than anything Disney in the past 20 years
December 2, 2025 at 9:28 PM
98) Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake - this is definitely my favorite of the HD-2D trilogy. Crazy how much having an actual cast of characters adds to it. Feels the best balanced in terms of combat too. The whole trilogy is great, feels faithful, even reverent, while still adding and tweaking a lot.
December 2, 2025 at 9:26 PM
97) Pac-Man World 2: Re-Pac - Sonic the Hedgehog Collaboration Set - this is a fun crossover and theres a full world worth of levels but its clearly very cheap with no VA and assets mostly ripped from Sonic Generations (a 15 y/o game now). The levels dont feel designed around Pac-Man unfortunately
November 19, 2025 at 3:26 PM
96) Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment - one of the better musous I've played! Runs and looks great. Roster is a little weak since so few characters from the time its set in are even known but the OCs are okay. Story is good on its own and adds some fun lore. A lot better than Age of Calamity
November 19, 2025 at 3:23 PM
95) Dragon Quest 1 HD-2D Remake - very derivative of the 3 remake but a great way to revisit the og DQ. Fleshes out the story and world a lot. Clearly has lots of love and respect for the original despite all the changes. It was oddly hard though, doesnt feel balanced around a single party member
November 19, 2025 at 3:21 PM
94) The Substance - very fun watch. Super on the nose but done very well. Looks gorgeous and has some crazy effects. Went a bit off the rails at the end but it mostly landed it. One of the better movies I've seen recently, glad I finally watched it
November 19, 2025 at 3:19 PM
93) Gen V (Season 2) - as gratuitous as ever but definitely a fun watch. Struggled a bit to work around the untimely death of one of its lead actors but it mostly worked while still being respectful. Wish it tied into The Boys a little less, seems to be setting up a big part of the next season
November 19, 2025 at 3:18 PM
October Top 3

1) Ninja Gaiden 4
2) Once Upon A Katamari
3) One Piece: Fan Letter

Interesting month. Very hard to choose the order for the top two slots, and pretty hard to choose the third from the rest. Ultimately I think ill revisit NG4 more than Katamari, the combat is something special.
November 5, 2025 at 9:35 PM
92) Weapons- Finally got around to watching this. Given the hype I kind of expected it to be a little more... I dont know, poignant? Its certainly not biting commentary, nor does it have the tightest script. Its a lot of fun though, bordering on comedy at points. Theres some great mystery too.
November 5, 2025 at 9:32 PM
91) Ninja Gaiden 4 - i had no hope for any PG project after the great director exodus but this was shockingly good. The combat feels incredible, some of the best ever. The story is sloppy and I wish it had more visual variety and maybe a tighter campaign, its a little too long, but this is my fav NG
