I think he's just countering the media criticism that the xG's high but the scoring's low. The xG's always been high but teams are figuring out how to prevent Liverpool from scoring. It's the adjustments all good managers make as the season goes on but the media's only focusing on the lack of goals.

W/o a doubt, he's an amazing coach, but let's be honest, he's never had to 'manage'. We've wondered what he'd be like w/a 'normal' team. Now we're seeing it. You can't tell me Klopp or Emery or Arteta would've lost 9 of their last 12 w/this squad. Managers find a way to manage the situation.
