I care about climate, environment, equality, social justice; active sustainability advocate, busy parent, cat person. Views & RT my own. Longing for sustainability to be so normal I can retire and write Sci-Fi. Blame qwerty keyboard for fautes de francais
Hi @politico.eu , is it on purpose you compared migrants and refugees to "trash" in today's Playbook? Wether it's insensitive, or intentionally insusting, either way that's chocking to read

There would be lots to say about the framing ("burden" in the title?Really?), and the vagueness of the prompt (which regulation? What to simplify?)
My big takeaway also is the unbelievable amount of citizen replies, pushing against the idea of slashing more nature protection Is it even precendented?

Merci la @sncf-voyageurs.bsky.social de me proposer des alternatives suite au retard du train de mon premier segment de voyage, mais cet horaire me semble peu pratique

Adding another argument to why electric stove is superior to gas: your hot oil doesn't catch fire, leading to half burning range hood Fortunately I put the lid on time& this is the only damage in my kitchen, but oh my, burning stuff is *dangerous*!
Irony is: I was cooking tofu to reduce emissions 🫠

How cool is it for a testing lab to be located on a street named after Fleming?

No thing says "I'm spending the holidays in Paris" quite like a sign featuring baguette & croissant, indicating that the bakery is closed for a 2 weeks vacation 🇫🇷🎄

9 yo just spent the past 3 evenings preparing a PowerPoint presentation (!!!) on Greek mythology, unprompted, and I can't tell if she's over-adapted to modern Western reality, or if this entire generation is doomed

How much does a cheese advent calendar scream "French living abroad"?
Whatever the answer, yum (and today I gratefully discovered Tome Vaudoise)

My 10 yo autistic niece has written and illustrated an entire *book* as a Christmas present for my son, unprompted, & even thought of adding legal disclaimer at the start. I'm in *tears* looking at all this talent and beauty and love, in such a young person! The world better be ready for her 🤩🥰

Just spend 3 hours dismantling an old sand box, disposing of the sand, and raking the dirt so that grass can grow 🤞, and I can't help but think it don't need automation for drafting my emails: automated garden work would be so much helpful (for my sore back)!

*not impressed* by the waste of plastic on this one. Plastic package a plastic packaging is a bit extreme 😳

32º measured on the shadowy, Northern outside of the house; close to 29º inside, in a place that mostly never needed air conditioning in the past, North of the river Loire in France. Climate has already changed. The question is, will adapt we fast enough, while we do all we can to mitigate?

Very moving to find this watercolour picture my great grand father painted over a century ago - until now, I only knew him as a building contractor, I didn't expect such poetic art skills
