Convey Even One Verse - By Verse Translation and Explanation
@conveyevenoneverse.bsky.social
Every day, we share a short, inspiring video about a single verse from the Holy Quran, with its meaning and commentary. Our mission is to spread the beauty of the Quran, one verse at a time, encouraging everyone to convey even one verse to others.
Let us pray for insight (firasa) to see beyond the painted words and recognize the reality of actions. May Allah protect us from being among those who corrupt the earth while believing they are its reformers. Ameen.

The verse serves as a timeless mirror. It warns us to measure actions not by the beautiful names people give them, but by the ultimate scale of divine revelation. Does the action please Allah and bring about true well-being, or does it cause fasad?

They have inverted reality. In their eyes, the guidance of Allah and His Messenger ﷺ is backward, and their own deviance is progress. They call sin "freedom" and division "progress." This is a disease of the heart that blinds them to the truth.

Their response, "We are only reformers" (innama nahnu muslihun), is a powerful linguistic device in Arabic. "Innama" signifies restriction, as if they are saying, "We do nothing *but* reform." This is the core of their delusion.

The word "fasad" (trouble, corruption) is comprehensive. It is not just physical ruin, but the corruption of faith, the tearing of social fabric, and the spreading of disobedience to Allah. True order (salah) comes only from submission to Him.

This verse speaks of the hypocrites (munafiqun). Outwardly, they claim faith and a desire for good. But their hidden intent and actions sow discord and corruption (fasad). Their claim of "reform" is the pinnacle of their arrogance and self-deception.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

A profound verse for our times: "And when it is said to them, “Do not make trouble on earth,” they say, “We are only reformers.” (Al-Baqarah: 11).

Who are these people who mask corruption with the cloak of reform? A thread 🧵

Let this verse be a mirror to our own souls. We must constantly seek to purify our hearts from any trace of these sicknesses. The cure lies in absolute truthfulness (sidq) in faith, speech, and action. May Allah protect and purify our hearts.

Thus, a "painful punishment" awaits. The pain is a direct result of their spiritual state. The inner turmoil of their hypocrisy in this world is but a prelude to the torment of the Hereafter, a punishment befitting their deception.
November 18, 2025 at 4:33 PM
The root cause? "Because they used to lie" (بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْذِبُونَ). Lying is the cornerstone of hypocrisy. They lie to believers by claiming faith. They lie to themselves, thinking they are clever. This constant falsehood erodes the heart.
November 18, 2025 at 4:33 PM
"Allah increases them in sickness" is a profound divine principle. When one turns away from the light of Truth and chooses the shadows of deceit, Allah leaves them in the path they have chosen. Their persistence in hypocrisy only feeds the disease.
November 18, 2025 at 4:33 PM
This "sickness" (marad | مَّرَضٌ) is not of the body, but of the spirit. It is the disease of doubt, the venom of hypocrisy, and the rust of envy that corrupts the soul. It makes faith hollow and worship a performance, devoid of sincerity.
November 18, 2025 at 4:33 PM
"In their hearts is a sickness, and Allah increases them in sickness; and for them is a painful punishment because they used to lie." (Quran 2:10)

This verse speaks of a disease far deadlier than any physical ailment. What is this sickness of the heart?

The lesson for us is profound. We must constantly purify our intentions (niyyah). Is our faith for Allah alone or for the eyes of people? Let us seek refuge in Allah from the slightest trace of hypocrisy and ask for sincerity in all we do. #Islam

"But they fail to perceive it" (wa ma yash'urun). Their hearts, veiled by arrogance and deceit, become blind. They are completely unaware of the spiritual disease they suffer from and the divine punishment they are heading towards.
November 17, 2025 at 5:35 PM
In reality, they deceive only their own souls. By choosing this path, they trade the eternal gardens of Paradise for fleeting, worldly gains. This is the ultimate bad bargain, a deception that costs them their own spirit.
November 17, 2025 at 5:35 PM
The phrase "seek to deceive Allah" highlights their profound ignorance. How can one deceive the All-Knowing, to whom all secrets are plain? It exposes the sheer foolishness of their plot. Their actions are a mockery, but only of themselves.
November 17, 2025 at 5:35 PM
This verse speaks of the hypocrites (munafiqun). They profess faith with their tongues but conceal disbelief in their hearts. Their aim is to attain worldly benefits from the believers while harboring ill will.
November 17, 2025 at 5:35 PM
In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.

"They seek to deceive Allah and the believers, yet they only deceive themselves, but they fail to perceive it." (Quran 2:9)

Who are 'they'? And how does their deception turn against them? A profound lesson on hypocrisy. 🧵 #Tafsir
