So yeah I don’t get how anyone with any sort of self respect or sense of individualism to watch Fox and not cringe at obviously obsequious sugary reverent praise for Trump and Elon - EVEN IF I LIKED BOTH (which I don’t obviously).

I would think it is STRANGE even though I nominally like and support John Swinney and am lefty and Indy minded. Or if they were saying “we must restore the sleeping lion of the true Scottish race and cast off our foreign chains of London and God sent the SNP to deliver salvation” I would cringe 🤮

To give an analogy, I live in Scotland and am left wing and want independence. If I turned on a TV channel which aligned with those values, and they started going on about how handsome and lovely and faultless John Swinney is and everyone else is just so evil these right wingers….

Fox has always been awful, but historically it was like “independently” awful spewing out hateful nonsense. But they’ve moved beyond that. Now it’s full on like beloved dear leader he is so handsome and tall and clever - it’s WIERD!!! Again even a conservative watching it should think it’s WIERD.

Thing is MAGA are obsessed with ritual and bizzare little procedural things so I’m surprised they don’t worry that it means he’s not actually president - you know like what sovereign citizens do with Judges who they interrogate about whether the flag was draped in the right way at their oath etc
