Sometimes I have to listen to my body, and I hate it when I have to listen to my body but today it told me "Merry, it's time to rest for a bit before everything gets crazy." so I'm going to rest today.

It's HERE! I'm 64 today, and honestly, the past year has been so wonderful in spite of the losses, that I'm looking forward to what my 64th year will bring.

I don't celebrate the 4th of July anymore. On the night of July 4, 2004 I was raped, so now that's what I remember EVERY 4th of July. I can't celebrate the anniversary of a crime that changed me so much. I love the US but I hate this day. I don't want sympathy. I just want acceptance.

In case anyone is really wondering, I am doing well. I had a phone appointment with my doctor and all my labs are really good. My doctor went so far to say that he's proud of me and that means a lot. Also, I'm in a good place regarding my relationships. No plans to fly anywhere this year.
