As a child, television and movies were the only window to the world. The few Indian movies that had budgets prominently featured Europe. Hence, it comes as no surprise that almost everybody in India thinks of visiting Paris and London, so did I, before realising 1/2

‘Pivo’ - The best and most famous part of Czech #cuisine! It's the Czech word for ‘beer’ and while it is not technically a ‘food’, you just cannot imagine the influence it has had on Czech cuisine! While strolling through Prague and sipping on varieties of beer, I understood one thing: 1/2

My short stay in #Prague convinced me: from rustic countryside villages to bustling city squares, the Czech Republic offers a gastronomic journey like no other. I was not in India but #Mauritius & it felt like coming home, to the smells of street food & the hustle and bustle. The first thing I noticed was how much it reminded me of home, yet it was more diverse. Look at the photos, and even you will find it hard to tell if these are from India or Mauritius.

The quirky street art I found in Gent, Belgium! The ‘Tolerance Zone’, aka Graffiti Street, is the only place many visitors head to when there’s a mention of street art in Gent. But you will find so many interesting graffiti gems scattered across the city.

With a city as vast as #Barcelona, it’s difficult to fit in, all the ‘must-see’ architectural wonders by Gaudí. I’ve travelled a fair amount, and there are only a couple that I can say will remain etched in my memory forever. And that unquestionably includes Basílica de la Sagrada Família.

Stars shooting away at almost 2 every 30 minutes. The Milky Way visible to the naked eye. A local singing folk songs somewhere between the mountains, into the night... These are just a handful of memories that’ll stay forever imprinted in my mind from #Jordan. 1/3

I’ve noticed a lot of fellow travellers on Instagram have a fascination with Moroccan lamps. I do too! So, while travelling through #Morocco, I kept clicking pictures of every unique piece I could find. Almost all of the magical lamps of Marrakesh I saw in the souks of Marrakech-Tensift-El Haouz.

Let’s talk about #Brugge, Belgium. Why did I end up in Brugge? I didn’t plan to! I’m not kidding! I could go on & on about the woes of travelling with a ‘Third-world’ passport', but I won’t. Cheap flight tickets & the necessity of a visa brought me to Brugge & I instantly regretted a day trip.1/3

It had been a memorable day, quite unlike what I’d have thought I would do in Switzerland. Of course, there were cows, cheese, streams, waterfalls and meadows, but there were also churches, chalets, caves and picnics! 4/4

Cannot get over how idyllic #Switzerland is. The well-preserved towns take you back in time, medieval architecture highlights the skylines, & the cobalt blue lakes are surrounded by snow-capped mountains - ah, the pure Swiss bliss! The popular destinations are crowded & yet the charm feels surreal.

The modern megacities and remote villages in this continent taught me that the real magic of #Asia lies in its stunning contrasts. The ultimate Asia travel bucket list isn’t just about ticking off famous landmarks but discovering the heart-stopping moments that change how you see the world.

Do you remember the gloomy Iron Islands ruled by House Greyjoy? Do you know where it's located? No, it’s not a history lesson or a geography question. Ballintoy Harbour in #Northern_Ireland is where parts of the popular medieval-fantasy series Game of Thrones were filmed. Definitely worth a tour!

Windmills, tulip fields, and colourful houses - that’s how I remember the #Netherlands. When spring comes knocking on your doors this time, pack your bags and hop on a flight to Amsterdam. Let this trip be all about experiencing a slice of Dutch life.

Why are these quirky statues scattered across #Prague not talked about enough? Be it David Cerny’s hanging man or the Memorial to the victims of Communism, Prague represents its history and culture in quite a different way.

Here’s mine, savouring each leisurely moment in #Santorini. The days I spent here were as dreamy as the island promised. As life gets busy and travel bags are stored away, I long for such times.
