The Naked Gun was good but I don't think it's my type of film. I've tried to get into the Zucker brothers and Abrahams filmography before but none have really resonated with me. The reboot does serve well as a homage to their style whilst bringing something new to the table.

I was actually quite impressed with The Long Walk. It definitely tackles themes that resonate within the current political climate. A bleak movie like this fits well with the bleak administration in the US. I enjoyed Cooper Hoffman and David Jonsson discussing their varying viewpoints on life.

Black Bag was decent. I would describe it as a very safe movie from Steven Soderbergh. He normally does one of these Ocean's esc movies every few years and that's this. I still have to watch Presence (2024) but that seems a lot more interesting conceptually from the Soderbergh/Koepp team.

However, Hurry Up Tomorrow is potentially the most baffling movie I've seen in a while. There's impressive camerawork and an attempt to elevate this movie by Trey Edward Shults but ultimately falls flat. I didn't like any performances or the script. It's a self-indulgent film that was always doomed.

I've been watching movies from my 2025 backlog and also Netflix's The Rip. The Rip and A Nice Indian Boy were both decent movies and I thought they were solid experiences, just nothing that blew me away.

It only just clicked when seeing this that the 2021 promotional art for the Mulholland Drive 4K transfer was inspired by Morning Sun.

I’m not really into the new Amazon Tomb Raider nostalgia era. It just feels like pandering with the show, remasters, remake & new game. This looks like it’s ripped straight out of a movie from the 2000s and it’s not clicking with me man.
