Ta-Nehasi Coates is doing a lot of things with this essay, but one of the most important is fearlessly using examples of anti-trans hate to describe Charlie Kirk's politics.

The contrast between his choices and those of other writers for major legacy outlets is revealing.
Charlie Kirk, Redeemed: A Political Class Finds Its Lost Cause
By ignoring the rhetoric and actions of the Turning Point USA founder, pundits and politicians are sanitizing his legacy.

I'm about halfway through this intarsia tunesian crochet project. It will look a lot better after blocking.

I finished up this mosaic crochet potholder. The pattern is Lotti Potholder by Suzanne Anacker.

I finally finished plying some border leicester wool that I dyed and spun almost a year ago.

I've finished the mosaic crochet potholder for my niece. She loves warm colors.

I took a break from my weaving project to spin up a trans pride braid. I really like how it came out. This yarn will probably become a hat.

I ran out of white yarn for my project, so I went back to my border leicester fleece to spin some more.

When I first started plying the singles I couldn't figure out why they were so dang unmanageable until I noticed I forgot to change direction on my EEW.

I finished 24 squares made via continuous strand weaving. I've crocheted them together to see how they look.

I made an error in one of my squares, so I replaced it. As an experiment I tried felting the square with the error to see how much it would shrink. You can see in the pictures below that it went from 6.5 inches on a side down to 5 inches on a side

I finished another spin. This one is also Wensleydale wool.

I want to try out backstrap weaving. I crocheted this backstrap from some handspun swaledale. I didn't weave the ends in because I'm not sure what I'm doing - I may want to frog part of it and make adjustments.

I got curious how my pride spin from TdF would look if I used it in continuous strand weaving.

Here’s the yarn:

It needs to be said over and over because it’s really important: if you read an indie novel/comic, play an indie game/visual novel, etc. and you enjoyed it, one of the best ways to help the creator is to tell people about it! Leave reviews, tell your friends. Every little bit helps us so much!

This is my latest spin of Wensleydale wool. I accidentally spun in the S direction and plied in the Z direction.

When I read about finds like this I'm a little closer to imagining what life was like so long ago.
NEW Analysis of two surviving textile fragments from Bronze Age Beycesultan Höyük, Anatolia, finds they were made with unique techniques and dyed blue, providing a rare example of the textile industry and luxury fabrics in ancient Türkiye.
