A lover or history, art, the quest for meaning, I seek inspiration to keep the springs of my own creativity flowing. At the same time, should I find anything worth sharing, I will offer it here.
A new Monopoly game card in "Community Chest"? "Church/State divide pays off in your favor on tariffs. Proceed to Go and collect $200."

The pictures in this article show her fascination with downward curves.

I would add, if you are surprised (or want to express surprise), try to resist using exclamation marks.

I appreciate his poetry so much, but ouch!, he comes across as a selfish & rather cold-hearted person in every account I've read.

It seems pretty simple to me. The way we express our understanding, and our insight and understanding itself can change (and has provided positions and topics for papers for academics for ages) but God and all that is holy is timeless and unchanging.

Perhaps "hassle" would be a more apt term than bustle. I wonder if this sort of thing will ever make a come-back. Hard to imagine.

Ha ha! That is so funny that I didn't think of the bird. Thanks for clarifying!

Sorry not to know, but is there significance to a red kite? Perhaps just holiday festivities? -- Over here in northern US it's way too chilly for kites.

Only at home! Foolishly, I was imagining it was a ball gown. Who owned this stunning creation?
December 13, 2025 at 3:24 PM
My goodness, it is exquisite, but I suppose you wouldn't sit on a bustle like that? No eating, not sitting, just look lovely.

I think I was a song sparrow back when I was little.

Rather the opposite of a phil-anthropist eh?

Well they inspired me to make a donation to her organization!

Very nice. But what is the fiber? Is it wool, cotton or double-knit polyester/acrylic?

Sadly the trouble with common decency lately is just that it seems so uncommon.

These are the sorts of miracles we don't enough of these days. Though actually, it makes life a bit easier when large structures stay put and don't go transporting themselves from place to place!

It's amusing to me, and also sort of sad, that apparently for the last few years in the US, the most streamed Christmas song is Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You." which seems like such a brilliant anti-consumer statement for what has become a consumer-crazed holiday.

This is so nice! I was especially glad to find a link to the singing of Cailín Deas Crúite na mBó on that page of the Butter Museum website. How fiting!
