Two days ago, he reiterated that the DOJ should release the Epstein files. It's not out of the realm of possibility that his assassination was a warning to people like MTG who won't back down about the subject. She's probably scared.

The weaving is a sign of a vestibular / balance / vertigo issue. When he looks to his right, the head movement causes him to veer right. Then he needs to look down to regain his equilibrium, and uses the carpet to correct to the left.
