Serious. I grew up in a woods and the house faced west; about 20 feet from the road was an enormous (3' dia) ancient fallen oak, rotting red wood, green lichen and moss contrast. We played on it, used it as a balance beam, used the wye of it as a foundation for forts. The sun set over it every day.
