No, what I mean is is that Trudeau will only stay on as PM until a new liberal leader is chosen on March 24, the new leader of the liberal party will automatically become PM on that date. It is highly likely that an election will be called on March 24 and will be held on either May 6 or May 12.

Actually, Trudeau just resigned as liberal leader until March 24th. He'll remain PMuntil then, when a new liberal leader will be chosen, and then he won't be PM either.
