Can't guarantee it'll work, but if you genuinely commit to doing this, start with the least distressing thoughts first and slowly move to the most distressing. This will not help if you start with your biggest OCD thought cycle. I used this skill and was able to come off meds cause I got good at it

Often effective technique for OCD thoughts is mocking them. Some people sing their thoughts to the tune of Happy Birthday, others (like me) start mocking the thoughts (e.g. "Omg who would do that? That's literally the worst idea ever, get a grip brain your whole job is THOUGHTS and you suck at it?")
