recently got the chance to apply some of our research knowledge to help improve its plight by creating artificial ponds to increase habitat and restore connectivity. Within 3 months, the ponds had LLJ in them

40 km of trekking through high altitudes in the Annapurna region has left sore muscles & amazing memories, with unforgettable learning experiences of the community conservation initiatives conducted by the @NTNC team. The @uni_newcastle team was supported by the @NewColomboPlan.

Exciting day on the @Uni_Newcastle Wild #Nepal @NewColomboPlan trip where we learned how the local community has worked so successfully to conserve #vultures after the diclofenac devastation. Saw 7 species!

The Wild Nepal team learnt about the plight of man-eating tigers, setting up camera traps, methods of animal capture and then scanned the museum to see the fauna of Chitwan.

Just back from an amazing two weeks in Nepal with the National Trust for Nature Conservation and supported by the New Colombo Plan #NCP - rhinos in Chitwan and trekking the Annapurna. Amazing place, and awesome experience for 20 @UoNewcastle students.
