Trump already made a deal with Putin for those rare earth/ mineral rights. Trump even said Putin was offering them if he got to keep Ukraine territory! Trump was NEVER gonna make a deal with Zelensky. He just needed Vance to give him coverage to throw an outraged fit and throw Zelensky to the curb.
