Other worry is we have left buendia & potentially Duran go for felix. Need another striker. Felix can do it but if Watkins goes down in trouble. Plus more worrying is watkins lack of mentality to compete with a decent 2nd striker. If we keep progressing this is only natural.

Hopefully the fee suggested was only their 1st offer & will increase because like luiz in the summer would be below market value. My main worry is likelihood half of the fee would be spent on Felix. Ideally like him on loan with option to buy because easily becomes a more expensive coutinho

I get it being a benefit/ requirement when it’s someone capable of playing there but digne looked uncomfortable, his distribution quality dropped/ put players in more danger & maatsen added to the defensive frailties on that side

It amazes me how none of the big title contenders come & try and get him. Our best signing along with mcginn over the past decade

Another difference is Emery getting the changes on the side line wrong. Two games in a row where the changes just totally destabilised the whole team

That exactly what I thought. Kind of weird if that’s his mindset because we will always need a quality no 2 to compete, his lack of form or he goes down with injury

I think would take 100m to make it worth while. If Duran scores a handful of key goals this year could be the difference between an additional round of champions league or European football next year. Ideally a pre agreed fee & deal could be lined up for June or July depending on ffp requirements

He does know there is 2 cb positions to compete with and potentially with konsa he could play as an inverted rb/rcb

Moving people like Carlos, digne & coutinho will ease this burden but with bonuses for champions league football & higher standard of players coming this will continue to grow. Would imagine another large sale will occur this summer again & it’s a case of the commercial arm catching up

Massive boots and hopefully can get another large boost again this yr. kind of makes it clearer why the commercial revenue infrastructure is occuring prior to enlarging the stadium. Keep making revenue with even the reduced capacity. Only worry is the level of wages against revenue (96%)

I suppose be risky move in case the potential deal feel through and they have to work within the parameters of what they know to date. Would agree I think Duran could be sold for the right fee with a potential replacement like Jonathan David brought in to free up ffp room

Any man who can outjump Duran in the air is a decent header. Be interesting to see where attention turns too if bade refusal is true. I would imagine singo would come with a larger transfer fee which could be an issue for ffp

It’s a big 4 months for him. If his level doesn’t increase & malen settles then I can see him being replaced come the summer.

I wouldn’t just blame the boys this time. Passing out from the back got worse, maatsen didn’t add & if anything reduced our outlet when digne went off, buendia, kamara/ tielemans ran out of juice. Surprised Ramsey wasn’t on earlier. it’s been hard week of fixtures & just need to get some bodies back
