Nice tip. I Find it best practice to "go black" when doing busy work, especially in VFX reviews. When a client/director is left staring at an image they'll start finding issues.

On the track, interesting. What a strange limitation. Thanks

The overlord OST is fantastic @editchez.bsky.social (We did the VFX on it at Ilm). I'm not that familiar with the rest of his work, spinning it up for later!

Johnny Greenwood is on an incredible streak. The master, Phantom thread, you were never really here, power of the dog. Not to mention the odd Radiohead and the smile album.

I'll give it a shot! I've tried a few things but nothing has hit the nail just yet, a little pre lap might help it snap. Thanks again

I like that. Reverse cymbal but with the actual source music. Thanks!

Thanks Cheryl. Haven't tried slowing it down yet, it's a sudden shift, but that could work. We've got a few drones kicking around too. Appreciated!

Usually i edit without, and then after i feel the pacing is working, i layer in some temp for mood. If you've got a composer it can work well to give them some ideas. But if you cut too tightly to a temp track, you're in trouble when it gets swapped out.
