This is a key point, i think. For most blues, pre match has NEVER meant going in the ground 2 or 3 hours early.
Proximity to city centre and new venues is as equally appealing to many as the new ground itself...and maybe that's not a bad thin in terms of 'authnticty'

I'd suspect over time there would be far less 'consumers ' pre match once it settles down ... as lots will settle into pre match routines elsewhere..although that begs the question if the club did want to 'capture' a market early then they certainly needed to do much better
