The portfolio is less important to me after the first couple data jobs I held. What matters more at this point is networking and being able to verbally describe previous projects I’ve worked on for an interview.

I thought my aluminum, 96% keyboard was heavy. Slap a Mac mini in there and reaching the power button might require a professional power lifter 😆

Is there such a thing as using too many macros in dbt?

I once had to debug someone’s dbt model, and they had at least 20 macros in the query. It actually made it really hard to find and fix the issue.

Haha no shade to Tino. Most of BQ is fine, the date_diff function was the biggest pain for me to remember 🤦🏻‍♂️

True! But transitioning to BigQuery and having to learn its SQL dialect almost killed me 😆
