Maybe this just reflects a changing trend among general audiences? This film fills the void of boring, sensless, unwarrented documentaries people have been craving.

I rewatched the first this year. Disliked it back 2006, but ended up loving it 20ish years later for the vibes alone.

I know. I just know around myself. People weren't familiar with superfriends. There's multiple degrees of separation. Like people will impersonate Schwarzenegger saying "Get to the chopper!"
Not because they're familiar with Predator but because "Get to the chopper" is what impersonators say.
