March is Autoimmune Awareness Month. There are over 100 autoimmune diseases, including Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis, affecting millions worldwide. These chronic conditions are often misunderstood, leading to misconceptions about how they impact those living with them.

A few weeks ago, the Annika Rodriguez scholars program at WashU partnered with Positivity Beats IBD for a card-making event for patients with Crohn’s and UC. These cards were sent out to patients in hospitals and infusion centers over the holiday season and to those affected by the LA wildfires.
