i've had a mac mini 2014 with only 4 GB (FOUR GIGABYTES) of RAM on my desk for a bit now, running Sequoia. it uses a chunk of swap, and things take a few bounces to open.. but for having a few tabs open and listening to music it's been pretty okay.
