Huge congratulations on your Doctorate. I only have a BSc but it was my husband (then boyfriend) who encouraged me to go for it - this would probably melt the brains of the tiny men on twitter - he pushed for me to do a Masters too but due to my mental health I couldn't continue.

Yeah the loos weren't great. The drinks were expensive inside but the bar was cheap next door! I was near the front and thankfully security were handing out water cups throughout to keep us hydrated. Public transport wasn't as horrendous as I thought it would be though - got home at about 1.30am!

Agree! I think the sound is an Ally Pally thing though - similar issues with Alice Cooper years ago. The acoustics there are weird. Also agree with the screens - I was near the front but had 3 6' blokes in front of me part of the time but I'm 4'10 so that's always an issue! It was amazing though :)
