pick pack pup! a really cute matching game when you make a match, the items get put into a box and stay on the board until you send them all off. it also has fun little comic cutscenes between levels that i liked seeing :)

omaze! a little action puzzle game on the playdate. you use the crank to rotate your character along the circle, and press b to enter from the connections between circles. i like how all the levels built off this concept, and thought the sound design was really excellent. it's a good game!

it takes two! peak beyond peak. i love the half-life 2 model of gameplay where every part has some insane fun mechanic for like 20 minutes then moves on to some other thing immediately. despite him being pretty unfunny most of the time i really loved the serious moments with cody, what a good va

RATCHETEER! what an incredible game. beautifully designed link's awakening style game, with a great plot in an interesting world, great action and exploration, and real depth. genuinely a 10/10 experience in every way. most slept on game of 2022. incredible incredible music too.

casual birder! my first playdate game :) its a short little adventure game about taking pictures of birds and solving small puzzles to help people. the art style of the character portraits didnt quite gel w/ me, but the birds were really pretty, the music was good, and it's so short you dont mind

resident evil 5! i played co-op w/ my bf, and had a pretty fun time with it :) i know it's a little shallow and cheesy but we can just enjoy things sometimes i think. i loved the piss filter 2010s look too, and how comically ripped chris was. very very of it's time

I just played Bomber Boy!
I really liked it for my first bomberman game, it's a little slow in the start but I liked the challenge of the later stages like that bullshit fire world. It felt fun to learn the enemy patterns and how to exploit them, especially once you unlock the remote control.

I just finished Snatcher as my first Hideo Kojima game and holyyyyyy shit what an incredible game
